Australian Catholic Bishops Conference

The Australian Catholic Bishops Conference is the national episcopal conference of the Roman Catholic bishops of Australia.[1]

Organisation

The president of the Conference is the Most Reverend Archbishop Philip Wilson, DD, D.Litt (honoris causa) who was elected to a two-year term in 2006 and re-elected to subsequent two-year terms in 2008 and 2010. Archbishop Wilson occasionally makes statements on behalf of the Conference of Bishops.

The Conference is served by a Secretariat, based in Canberra, under the management of Rev Brian Lucas. The Australian Catholic Bishops Conference meets at least annually.[2]
